My
name is Sarah Wright. I am a professional personal coach, one of the
few in the nation trained specifically to work with people affected by
Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
The National Institute of Mental Health, the nation's two leading
education and advocacy groups
for people with ADHD (ADDA and CHADD), and many of the nation's leading
experts on ADHD endorse coaching as an important
part of a treatment plan for living well with this disorder.
People
with ADHD are in many ways no different from anyone else. However, the
unique challenges of living with a brain that works differently
sometimes interfere with living effectively. Some of the areas in which
a coach can help include:
| |
•
organization
•
time management
•
planning and prioritizing
•
following through and getting things done
•
coping with overwhelm
• acheiving rather than dreaming about your goals
|
A
coach can also help by simply educating you about ADHD. Knowing what it is
and
what it isn't can be a big step in learning how to live well with it as
part of your life.
If
any of this sounds like you or anyone you know, or if you're just
curious, feel free to look around. If you have questions or suggestions
while you are here, please contact me. I'll be happy to hear from you.
Enjoy
your visit!
